2nd Dissemination event in Lithuania
On 31 May 2019, ZISPB organized the second dissemination event for the SEPAL project in Šiauliai, Lithuania.
The WISE model – Work integration social enterprise – has been presented to participants coming from different contexts – Educators, teachers, representatives from NGO’s, local stakeholders, government members – but one way or another related to the topic.
Educators shared their opinion on the dropping out of school topic, the main reasons being exclusion and high standards in the education system where low-skilled and low-capacity persons are underestimated. Moreover, there is a lack of opportunities for youth who face social difficulties, who are in enormous need of income because of family situation and look for well-paid and quick jobs, which are, usually, illegal.
Representatives from NGOs working with target groups mentioned the lack of motivation in these groups and that there is not enough psycho-social support. Business representatives focus on stigmas and prejudices related to the employing of target groups and the need for coaching. Project SEPAL might offer solutions for every interested side – NEETs, educators, employers, NGOs working with target groups, etc. regarding their biggest needs.
